Our Physical
Therapists are highly trained in manual therapy and deliver most
interventions by use of their hands as opposed to a device or
machine. With manual therapy, practitioners use their hands to
put pressure on muscle tissue and manipulate joints when attempting
to decrease pain or increase joint range of motion.

ISOKINETIC
TESTING |
|
Sport and Spine Rehab
performs isokinetic testing with the Kin Com (Kinetic Communicator).
The Kin Com machine is the only isokinetic testing device that
performs eccentric AND concentric types of testing. Other
capabilities of this machine include evaluation and treatment using
isokinetic, passive, isotonic, and isometric muscle contractions.
The Kin Com also has the ability to perform consistency testing
which is helpful in determining whether or not a client is providing
full effort during the test procedure. |

INDUSTRIAL
REHABILITATION |
 |
Sport and Spine
Rehab therapists
are also trained in the field of industrial rehabilitation
and will ensure clients a fast, safe return to work. Our
facility is designed to simulate numerous job tasks which allows
workers to attempt and practice these tasks under the supervision of
a therapist. |
|
 |
We utilize
numerous methods to test a clients abilities throughout the course
of treatment. These same methods can also be used as part of
the rehabilitation process to help strengthen their ability to
perform the task. As with all activities performed at our
clinic, the client is continually instructed in proper performance
by utilizing correct posture and erogonomics.
